Newsflash

An Italian Greyhound was registered for the first time with the American Kennel Club in 1886. Records show that during the same years a few were being entered in shows. After World War I when the breed was in danger of extinction in Great Britain, fresh stock was imported from the United States, giving evidence of the high quality to be found in America by then.

About the Philli Kennel Print E-mail

We are Dwain and Betty Phillippi and our kennel name is Philli. Which makes our dogs known as Philli Italian Greyhounds.

Our first Italian Greyhound was Misty (1987) and her registered name was Ch Merrimac Lenlo Mystique. We waited about 6 months to get our little blue and white girl from Leonard Krosschell (Lenlo's Italian Greyhounds). Leonard and Lois became our good friends for many years.

Through the years we have had many of our Italian Greyhounds become Champions in the United States, and also in Canada. We often have dogs available for pet homes, including some of our dogs shown on Champs page, as well as some on the Pets page. Occasionally will have puppies also, please feel free to contact us with questions.

We would like to be able to name all the new friends we have made since we started breeding and showing Italian Greyhounds. They are a wonderful bunch of people. We only show in conformation but enjoy watching the other events that our wonderful breed participates in.
